Preformed in the Saint James Theatre as a highlight of the 2005 Wellington Arts Festival the Inside Out Production of Thomas Mann’s ‘The Holy Sinner’ called for a fusion of medieval, industrial and strongly physical design.
Inside Out’s production of this touring international event allowed for the design of finely mechanized staging to accompany the live and projected show elements, all housed in a massive purpose built and re-locatable venue.
Following the example of other ‘Halls of Fame’ this design project encompassed 6 floors of down town office space for what was to be a permanent centre for world rugby culture.
In a grand picturesque theatre in Auckland this event was a great opportunity to create a classic ‘show-business’ event replete with gilded lions and waterfall curtains.
