This stylized slasher movie needed inventive design solutions on a miniscule budget. It was great fun to design and was rewarded by a ‘Best Art Direction’ gong from the New Zealand Film awards.

The Frighteners

Shot in Wellington and Christchurch and starring Michael J Fox this comedy/ horror involves a psychic detective on the hunt for a deceased serial killer. Huge fun to watch and to make.

Heavenly Creatures

Visualizing the imagination of the Reiper and Hulme girls as well as correct period detailing of 1950’s Christchurch, this film was a breakout success and still stands as a classic New Zealand movie.
